    Qualified from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais in Brazil in 2007 and completed her foundation and General Practice training in the Southeast of Scotland from 2009 to 2014. She has been working as a GP in Edinburgh and Midlothian since and has a special interest in Lifestyle Medicine which is a holistic approach to supporting people making healthy lifestyle choices. Nurses

The practice nurses are usually available daily by appointment until 5pm Mon and Tues Wed, Friday and Thursday till 3pm. As skilled and important members of the Health Care Team they provide a wide range of nursing and medical services to our patients.

Practice Management

The practice manager is involved in managing all the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The practice manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.

Reception

The reception desk is open Monday – Friday 8:30am to 6pm for making appointments, ordering repeat prescriptions and other routine matters. The reception is also open by phone only for emergencies between 8am and 8:30am.

Community Midwives

Claire Stephen - Telephone: 01968 671 537. If you think you are pregnant you can contact centralised Booking on 0131 536 2009 or a GP. Collect a leaflet – ‘Pregnant what next’ from the front desk at the practice.

Community Nurses

District nurses are contactable on 01968 671535 (Monday – Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm answering machine.) They provide a full range of community nursing care for those patients who are confined to their home and require nursing assistance and can advise on various matters including care of the elderly, appliances and continence care.

Health Visitors

Our team of health visitors are based in Roslin Medical Practice. They are contactable on 0131 440 7832 (answering machine). They are specialist nurses who advise on aspects of childcare, health and development and organizes the immunization programme and monitoring of children aged under 5. A well-baby clinic is held weekly at the practice.
